Tribe America Leathers is the inspiration of Gus Lewkowicz, a fifth-generation tailor from Buenos Aires, Argentina. He established his shop in 1982 with a singular vision: to create custom-designed leather garments and accessories, handcrafted with an artist’s attention to detail, using only the highest-quality genuine leather and finest materials.
Gus personally shops the world over to source the very best leathers available and ships them to his studio in Scottsdale, Arizona, where he conceives and assembles each creation as a masterwork, one original piece at a time. Over the past four decades, Gus’s work at Tribe America Leathers has been prized for its fine craftsmanship, sleek and modern silhouettes, and lasting quality. Admired by customers from all walks of life, each piece is a personal work of art that expresses a unique vision of the West.

Tribe America Leathers takes great pride in making all our garments right here in sunny Scottsdale, Arizona. Each item is a handmade original, available nowhere else. All patterns are designed by the artist himself—the founder of Tribe American Leathers, Gus Lewkowicz. Each garment is painstakingly hand laced, dressed with Buffalo bones, and decorated with the artist’s own glass bead-work, inspired by Native American designs to create an authentic Western look.
Only the best quality lamb and deer skins are used to make each item. As a natural product, leather contains slight, distinctive imperfections which are indicative of genuine leather. All other garment components are of the same high quality; from the buffalo bones to the glass beads to the linings, no detail is overlooked.
Each piece comes with a lifetime warranty on the workmanship. If any stitching, bones, beads, or snaps become defective during normal wear, simply ship them to our factory and we will be happy to repair your garment at no charge for as long as you own it.
